Unfortunately you didn't specify what e-mail you are using. Whether it is web-based (like hotmail or Yahoo), or POP (like outlook or Eudora).
Hotmail & Yahoo have their own SPAM filtering. Most of the SPAM's are forwarded automatically to the SPAM folders and you do not have to do anything to it. The system will delete it for you after several days (it will not added to your quota).
If you use POP e-mail, then you will have to invest in Anti-SPAM softwares such as Norton Internet Security or McAfee Spamkiller.

go into yahoo mail upper right hand corner is options click on this u may find more than just that there to trim ur box they are other options there worth looking at but the u can stop bulk mail from showing up

Empty your bulk file. To get rid of them for good, you'll have to unsubscribe from each and every one of them.
