IE- if you hit into a 4 6 3 doubleplay; you hit to the 2nd bman who thru to the SS@2nd who throws to first

So, a 4-6-3 double play is a ball collected by the second baseman, who throws it to the shortstop (for the forceout at second, probably), who throws it to the first baseman, to get the forceout at first.

1 = Pitcher, 2 = Catcher, 3 = First Base, 4 = Second Base, 5 = Third Base, 6 = Shortstop, 7 = Left Field, 8 = Center Field, 9 = Right Field.

you just answered your own question..i.e..pitcher #1, catcher #2, 1st baseman #3, 2nd baseman #4, 3rd baseman #5, shortstop #6, left field #7, center field #8, right field #9.
