I have been married for 5 years now and have been away from her for the past 4 1/2 months because of the military. During this time away from her I have not really missed her any. (we have been talking on the phone and writing e-mails about ever other day) Over all I have missed my dog more than I have missed her. What could this mean?

Its not that i dont try to think about her. When I do it makes me mad because of what she has done to me in the past.

This means that you are growing apart from her. This could very well be because of the time away from home, but it seems that it's more to it than that. If you and your wife were very compatible and soulmates then you would defintely be missing her without a doubt. If anything your world would feel like it was falling apart if your connection to her was strong to begin with. Maybe this will give you a chance to really think about your marriage and let you see if your actually married to the right person, and if your the right person for her as well. There is nothing worse then trying to tell yourself you are in love with a person, but deep down there is a denial. I'm sure she's a great woman and a wife to you, but when it comes to happiness in a relationship you have to find someone that you are truly compatible with otherwise you will never feel the true and deep meaning that love brings when two people are together in life.

I think it means the spark between you is gone, but this doesn't mean that it won't come back ever. Maybe when you see each other again the "thrill" will be there. My husband just returned from being overseas in the military and at times when he was gone I felt so comfortable and independent that I was worried how much my life would change once he return. (And wondering even if I wanted to not be alone anymore.) But, now that he's back, all of my feelings for him have returned and it's even better than before! I think what you are going through is normal. It happens you just have to give it time.

The thrill is gone. Long distance relationships are very hard. When you get out of the military (Are yougoing to make the military your career?) you will find out if you two can be hot or not.

You're in love with the dog. Haha. But really. I think that maybe you are not thinking about her alot, as to not miss her, and to make your time go quickly with less emotions? I don't know, it sounded good ... didn't it?

Don't you know? Just every other day? If you're in love, even a day without hearing from your love is torture. I would miss my dog too but, my lover...Wow!
