black or white? I don't have much time to decide. Would you consider this dress semi-formal? It is an evening event

Nice dress, do you really need a wrap? I wouldn't wear one with this dress. I would wear red shoes if you can find ones that match, if not wear white.

This dress is rather casual (it's a knit, right? not a formal fabric, especially in a shorter dress) but I'm sure it will be all right. I would go with black rather than white, since there seems to be white or off-white in the dress, which you won't be able to match (same with trying for red)
Rule of thumb: Black goes with pretty much everything, except sometimes navy blue!

I would not consider that dress semi-formal, it is a more casual look. You can probably pull it off with white accessories, but only if you have your heart set on that dress. (You'd never match the red on such short notice...)

I know it is a bit more expensive, and if that's a problem just find another black dress in a similar style and accessorize with black. Sleek, simple, sophistacted... they don't call it an LBD for nothing. (Little Black Dress) Every girl should have at least one!!!

The dress seems more suited for a garden party rather than an evening event.
Don't get me wrong... I like the dress but it looks too casual. Although, don't take my word for it.
I'd say... match it with a black shawl & a pair of black heeled sandals that comes with an ankle strap, preferably with some "bling" on it.
