like a hurricane- neil young

Once I thought I saw you
in a crowded hazy bar,
Dancing on the light
from star to star.
Far across the moonbeam
I know that's who you are,
I saw your brown eyes
turning once to fire.

You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.

I am just a dreamer,
but you are just a dream,
You could have been
anyone to me.
Before that moment
you touched my lips
That perfect feeling
when time just slips
Away between us
on our foggy trip.

You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.

You are just a dreamer,
and I am just a dream.
You could have been
anyone to me.
Before that moment
you touched my lips
That perfect feeling
when time just slips
Away between us
on our foggy trip.

You are like a hurricane
There's calm in your eye.
And I'm gettin' blown away
To somewhere safer
where the feeling stays.
I want to love you but
I'm getting blown away.

"WEAK" by mystic stranger

::Chorus::

we used to be inseparable now the love is gone
thats the reason why, why you and i we cant get along
and even though i knew what you'd done in front of me
i never planned to cheat
i guess both of us we're weak

::Verse 1::

i was less than a girlfriend more than a friend
the only ear that would listen to wat had been
wat happened back wen nobody cared
and you poured your feeling wen ever i was there
and it seemed that
this was a dream that
jus so happned to materialze
in front of my eyes
and we cried on the phone together
something had me thinkin that we could get grown together
and yea we've grown together
jus apart from each other
you was supposed to be that ride of die ***** in the weather
but now u jus a ***** cuz the change in the weather
i'm sayin mama did we change for the better
baby did we benifit from hurting eachother
but i need you
i cant breath without you
i love you
i miss you
i hate you
but need you (i want you back)
::Chorus::

::Verse2::

i was loosing it my sanity was leaving on a missile
when i finally voice how i feel i'm being superficial
then how i feel jus aint official enough
the next thing i know we are officially done
i'm mourning but the hurt just seems to be and advantage
i write and life becomes so easy to mannage
maybe this pain ain't gon be permenant damage
but every so often i think of you i slip dammit
wat had me thinkin this could be easily handled
i was in love
at least back then i thought i was
but maybe a good friendship was all that i was
and maybe it was you that forced me to grow up
but even still i doubt that, without that
i'd be where i am today
or even feeling these ways
its crazy, i was a baby
15 still choaking on my innocence
then you come along my 2nd road and you made the difference

::Chorus::

and i'm glad that i acutally had that
false perception of love those feeling that made me go grab that
everything you let me belive was reality
but actually i turned and it was just you stabbing me
in the pit cuz there wasn't a heart to get
cuz you took all that i was and you ran with it

Nas

Through the lights cameras and action, glamour glitters and gold
I unfold the scroll, plant seeds to stampede the globe
When I'm deceased, by then the beast arise like yeast
to conquer peace leaving savages to roam in the streets
Live on the run, police paying me to give in my gun
Trick my Wisdom, with the system that imprisoned my son
Smoke a gold leaf I hold heat, nonchalantly
I'm grungy, but things I do is real it never haunts me
while, funny style ****** roll in the pile
Rooster heads profile on a bus to Riker's Isle
Holdin weed inside they pu$$y with they minds on the
pretty things in life, props is a true thug's wife
It's like a cycle, ****** come home, some'll go in
Do a bullet, come back, do the same sh1t again
From the womb to the tomb, presume the unpredictable
Guns salute life, rapidly, that's the ritual

Prince - Diamonds And Pearls

This will be the day
That you will hear me say
That I
will never run away
I am here for you
Love is meant
for two
Now tell me what you're gonna do

CHORUS
If I gave you diamonds and pearls
Would you
be a happy boy or a girl
If I could I would give you the
world
But all I can do is just offer you
My love

Which one of us is right
If we always fight
Why can't we just let love decide
(Let love
decide)
Am I the weaker man
Because I understand
That love must be the master plan

CHORUS

BRIDGE
D to the I to the A to the M
O to the N to
the D to the pearls of love
D to the I to the A to the M
O to the N to the D to the pearls of love

There
will come a time
(Thery'll come a time)
When you
will blow your mind
(Your mind)
And everything you
look for you'll find
(Take a look inside)
There
will be the time
(Thery'll be the time)
When
everything will shine
(Oh yeah)
So bright it makes you
color blind
(You will be color blind)

Corey's Coming
by Harry Chapin

Old John Joseph was a man with two first names
They left him in the railroad yard when they took away the trains
Only one run a week comes on roaring down that line
So all he's got to worry 'bout is time.

I come by in the evening to hear 'bout where he's been
He says - Come on sit down Kid, where shall I begin?
He starts telling me the stories of the glories of his past
But he always saves the story of his Corey for the last.

And he says - My Corey's coming. No more sad stories coming
My midnight-moonlight-morning-glory's coming aren't you girl?
And like I told you, when she holds you
She enfolds you in her world.

I was quite surprised to find out all the places that he knew
And so I asked the townfolk if his stories were true
They said - Old John was born here, he's lived here all his life
He's never had a woman, let alone a wife.

And very soon you'll find out as you check around
That no one named Corey's ever lived in this town
So I chided the old man 'bout the truth that I had heard
He smiled and said - Reality is only just a word.

I came by one evening but he did not hear my shout
I looked in the window and saw the fire was out
When he would not wake up I forced in the door
And found that Old John Joseph would tell stories no more.

The scene at the graveyard, three of us were there
Me and the gravedigger heard the parson's prayer
He said - We need not grieve for this man,
For we know that God cares!

They put the cold dirt over him and left me on my own
And when at last I looked up I saw I was not alone
So I said - If you're a relative, he had a peaceful end.
She said - My name is Corey - you can say I'm just a friend.

Corey's coming, no more sad stories coming
My midnight-moonlight-morning-glory's coming aren't you girl?
And like I told you, when she holds you
She enfolds you in her world.

So that's the old man's story, I'm glad you came tonight
A busted down old railroad yard sure makes a lonely sight
You may wonder why a young man would work out here alone
Well the job pays enough to keep some flesh on my bones.

And I confess I get to missing the old man a bit
And there's one other reason I guess I should admit -

Can't you see my Corey's coming, no more sad stories coming
My midnight-moonlight-morning-glory's coming aren't you girl?
And like he told me, when she holds me
She enfolds me in her world.

Anything written by either David Brockie(Gwar, X-Cops, Death Piggy, DBX) or Greg Graffin(Bad Religion). David Brockie because he is writes vulgar masterpieces, and Greg Graffin for the simple fact that he can write a song about the homeless put out on the streets by corporate greed and have it be a vocabulary lesson at the same time. I can honestly say that Greg Graffin taught me more words that I still use than all 4 years of high school combined

Natalie Merchant's 'The Living'

What's it like there outside
With the living, with the living
In a fallen down place I can hide
From the living, from the living
Because I don't care to stay with the living

Oh, the bottle has been to me
My closest friend, my worst enemy
For a fable I walked a fine line
Squandered it all and wasted my time
And I don't stand a chance among the living

For the lovers I've gambled and lost
Count my mistakes whatever the cost
I'll go off, I'll make myself scarce
Oh, come tomorrow
You won't find me here

Because I don't care to stay with the living
I don't think I'll remain with the living

And I don't care to stay with the living
No, I don't care to stay

When are you gonna come down
When are you going to land
I should have stayed on the farm
I should have listened to my old man

You know you can't hold me forever
I didn't sign up with you
I'm not a present for your friends to open
This boy's too young to be singing the blues

So goodbye yellow brick road
Where the dogs of society howl
You can't plant me in your penthouse
I'm going back to my plough

Back to the howling old owl in the woods
Hunting the horny back toad
Oh I've finally decided my future lies
Beyond the yellow brick road

What do you think you'll do then
I bet that'll shoot down your plane
It'll take you a couple of vodka and tonics
To set you on your feet again

Maybe you'll get a replacement
There's plenty like me to be found
Mongrels who ain't got a penny
Sniffing for tidbits like you on the ground

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road By Elton John

How to Sava a Life by The Fray

I love how powerful this song is and I love where the song leads you... to a positive direction and the words itself truly touch me soo much you should read them:

Step one you say we need to talk
He walks you say sit down it's just a talk
He smiles politely back at you
You stare politely right on through
Some sort of window to your right
As he goes left and you stay right
Between the lines of fear and blame
And you begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Let him know that you know best
Cause after all you do know best
Try to slip past his defense
Without granting innocence
Lay down a list of what is wrong
The things you've told him all along
And pray to God he hears you
And pray to God he hears you

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

Lyrics of "Amazing Grace".

It is indeed amazing.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

"Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see."

the part where Chamillionaire raps in the song Get Up with Ciara

--It's the kid that stay ridin' big
The one the police tried to catch ridin' dirty
In the club before eleven o'clock
Like I'm tryin to catch it down kinda early
Look, ya thick her hair brown and curly
She love the way my ride shinin pearly
City boys say she fine and pretty
In the country boys say she fine and 'purrty'
My pockets thick as green, it's curvy
And the ladies know soon as they see my jewelry
If bein' fresh to death is a crime
I think it's time for me to see the jury

You know Chamillionaire stay on the grind
A hustla like me is hard to find
I ain't really impressed, yes
Unless it's about some dollar signs
Ain't really no need to call you fine
I know you be hearin' that all the time
I'm watchin' you do ya step, do ya step
Yep it's goin down
