I'm thinking about study real estate but I absolutely have no idea what steps I should take. Should I go university to get a degree or should I just go to real estate school to get a license? And what will be the difference between having degree with license and just a license? Also what will be the qualification to work for real estate company??

You begin by indicating you want to be in the "real estate field". That is like jumping into the ocean. It is big, wide, and deep. Then you ask about licensing vs. a degree. First answer what area of real estate. commercial vs. residential? Are you a people person? If not, perhaps an appraiser or home inspector? Are you a good negotiater? Then perhaps mortgage broker? Are you built for irregular paychecks? If not, being a real estate agent is probably going to drive you crazy.

Once you have begun to answer some of those questions, then ask folks who are currently doing it SUCCESSFULLY what the best course of action/training would be. Perhaps they might even take you under their wing.

Hope that helps.

It depends on the state in which you live. The real estate school if it is an in class experience gives you contact with people in the industry and others that may be your contemporaries. A business degree may be helpful but surely not necessary. Find a good company in your area that offers the licensing course in the classroom format and go for it.

Research real estate courses @ different establishment- Century 21, Coldwell Banker...etc. Know the total cost of each one.
and then compare what the university is offering.
Make a goal of what you want to get out of the whole process. A degree is alway good, but will it give more rewards than going to a real estate establishment. Library is a great place of reference for anyone to research there choice.

Copy National Association of Realtors into your browser. They publish a handbook that explains everthing.
Just read the book and take a test. That's it!
