They both have their strong points, although the nostalgia i get playing old games is pretty cool. It's not all about graphics, sometimes it's just about gameplay =)

I haven't played DOOM 3 but from what I hear, the first 2 Dooms were much better. The first two doom games even LOOK better then DOOM 3. Something about doom 3 just doesn't make me interested in it and I haven't even played it.

i don't! the original doom is not as scary and the graphics are crap compared to doom 3. however doom is good on cell phones.

I do. The original Doom just seemed so much cleaner, easier to navigate, and so much more engaging. Plus it was something of a ground-breaking game... to me, it was what introduced me to the concept of gaming in a first-person-perspecitve universe.
Then the mods (WAD files) came along with user-designed levels, and that was the best.
