Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Add/Remove and find Norton and uninstall it. Don't just delete it, you have to uninstall or all the files won't be gone.

I know what you are going through, I went through it , wouldn't uni-stall or nothing, go to symatech and there is a free tool to get it off and it works had to use it a few times myself, just look around for it, I have it down loaded on a floppy, I just have to update it when I go to use it, cause it isn't the one for xp but it takes me to the site to do it...

Good luck. I've heard tons of people ask this question. I (fortunately) got it out of mine but mine wasn't' an update to the original. I've heard they are worse to get out. I hope you figure it out because they suck! If you look through the questions I've asked & answered you'll know why! Short version: I got a Trojan Horse and it NEVER dected it. Even after free software did!
