There is a famous quote by Seneca that goes - "It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult. "

So, its better to try and fail rather than not trying at all.... Because if you try often and try hard, eventually you will succeed!

tried and failed. If you at least try then you have a shot at not failing. You miss 100% of the shots you don't take.

Tried and failed. Not failed to try. At least you tried, if you tried and failed. What's even worse is trying to fail. Bottom line. Tried and failed is better. Wow, this is sort of a tongue twister.
