True ..i think that all thoes boston fans say they are better just cause that makes them feel better ..yankees are the best and if every game is a rivalry then everybody wuld hate the yankees

Jealousy.
The Yankees are consistently good. Up until 2 years ago Boston hadn't won a World Series title in 86 years. The Yankees have won 26 in the same time.
It's good to be a Yankee fan.

Everybody hates you Redsoxfan. Plus, what are you talking about rivalry??? Its not even close. We have won 26 Championships. You have won 6, 1 in the last 86 years. We hold the overall edge in games won by at least 200. I don't see any rivalry. What I do see is the Yanks always coming out on top, with the Red Sux left on the floor crying and moaning and asking for a win (Ortiz)

boston fans hate the yankees cause both teams are rivals and both of those teams hate each other. I'm a yankee fan a hate the red sox, they suck. The boston fans cannot say yankees suck, when their team already sucks!

It's due to the rivalary that started back when the Sox traded Ruth to the Yanks... The Yanks fans hate Boston and Boston Fans hate the Yanks...
It's great for baseball and it's great for the two cities... I'm from the Bronx and LOVE the Yankees. ALWAYS HAVE AND ALWAYS WILL.

Umm.. . .I still think the rivalry is the answer. When you compete against someone, you think you're better and they suck .Works for every team match up not just red sox/yankees.
