I think that he and his partner were dropped because they have their own production company, and are interested in working on more projects independently. He has options these days, and commands a very high salary. If he had agreed to take less money, I think the company would have kept him on, despite his behavior. In other words, I don't think they could afford him, and they used his behavior as an excuse for dropping him. I also don't think that Katie Holmes is as good looking as Penelope Cruz or Nicole Kidman.

No, I think he was dropped before he walked away. The old "You're fired!" "I quit!" routine.
And anyway, who cares? He is so out of it with the real world.
Katie Holmes is cutesie, but certainly not pretty or hot.
Penelope Cruz is very attractive.
Nicole was ok, then had work done and looked pretty good but she went too far and now she looks like a Mask-Face. Her eyes will be on the sides of her head if she keeps it up!
(did someone say Joan Rivers?) LOL

I think that Tom Cruise is NUTS! He isn't that good looking, and acting ability is lacking. I think that Katie Holmes is not good looking at all, and she definitely CAN NOT act! He was better off with Nicole Kidman... She is pretty and talented. Katie Holmes seems to be riding on the coat tails of her fiance.

His behavior was nutty. He was very quiet in regards to his personal life up until all of the recent hoopla. It didnt do much for his image or the studio's profits.
But you know, even if he is kind of a nutjob, I have liked his movies. I still like his movies.
Tom will go on....with his production company and land another sweet spot at a huge studio, there can be no doubt about that.

It is all money. They could care less about his love life. If he is not making them as much money and is a liability to them financially that is the issue. They could care less about who he is with. It is all about the green backs. Do not think it is anything else. If he is on his way down they do not want him. He is getting older and losing popularity due to his negative statements and antics. He could have grown old gracefully like other men, but he is going to go out it looks like out of style. Perhaps he can make it in a foreign market that he has not had problems with. The american market is shot.

If he wasn't dropped for his behaviour he should have been. I think Katie is more cute than hot. Idon't think its becuse the execs were jealous of his looks. I think he is one of the dewbiest over rated actors there are....

I believe if the truth be told Tom Cruise is a bonafide mental case. He has displayed manic/depressive bipolar behavior repeatedly.
I would bet my money that the decision makers were concerned about his mental stability and past public antics...it was certainly not good PR....

Absolutely. it was definitely his behaviour.
It seems that ever since wacco Jacko left the continent, Cruise has taken over as the phychward patient in Hollywood.

His behaviour is why he got dropped. And rightly so,
they estimate that Mission Impossible 3 lost between 100 - 150 MILLION bucks, just because of his offscreen antics...
