My baby won a spot in The Great Baby race at the State Fair! It's all in fun and I don't care if he wins or not. What are your sugestions on how to get him to crawl fast and toward the finish line?

Find an incentive for him to crawl.
Does he like food, have a favourite toy?
Whatever "it" is, put it by the finish line, and encourage him to "go get it!"

A crawling race, what will they think of next? Food always motivated my son.

Don't know. My boys walked at 8 and 9 months and hardly crawled.

Train him to crawl towards someone or something that is exciting to him.

Please NO! Don't start pressuring a performance from your child/baby already! Just let him crawl for fun and if he wins- great!
(Kids pick up our subtle cues and feel performance anxiety early- I'm sure.)

put somthing he loves at the finsh line a slowly take it away from the line till he can go towords it with out it

Get on your knees behind him, tap your hands on the floor and say """Go - - Go - - Go""" in a deep voice... I dunno about you, but mine always thinks Mommy's after him, and he takes off!!!
