the pain shoot right down to her stomach area which burns.looks like it could be swollen around the upper part of her stomach.now she is spotting like a reddish brown but she is not to be on her period til the end of the month.

Your friend needs some Acid Reducers...like Pepsid AC.
She probably took Advil or Motrin which will cause these
symtoms....she will be ok if she takes a backup like pepsid Ac
or calcium tablet.

These sound like 2 different issues, spotting comes from the vagina, and what you are describing sounds gastric (stomach area) these are 2 separate compartments and the 2 do not intersect with eachother. The stomach area could be she has reflux, heartburn, has she been throwing up lately, this could also be from that as well. Reddish brown discharge sounds like old blood, this can happen when a woman becomes pregnant and the embryo attaches to the uterin lining. If she has been vomiting and spotting have her do a pregnancy test. She just might be pregnant.
