You can do these yourself - I know its sometimes confusing, but it's really not that hard.
Just remember FOIL and the quadratic formula.
Commit those to memory.
After that, it's just "plug and chug".

I won't write the answers, but I'll give a few hints:
1) Write out (d-5)(d-5) and use the distributive property to multiply out everything, then cancel like terms.
2) Similar to #1, but an additional hint is (a+b)(a-b) = (a^2)-(b^2)
3) Look up the quadratic formula then just plug in the numbers. Alternatively, if you have a graphing calculator you can type in the equation and see where it intersects the x-axis.
4) Similar to #3, but subtract 3 from both sides so you have one side equal to zero, then you can even factor out 3 from both sides and solve.

1. Separate it into (d-5)(d-5)...use Foil...you should get d^2-5d-5d+25...this simplifies into d^2-10d+25. If you don't know what FOIL is: First, Outer, Inner, Last.
2.multiply the first two equations first...this gives you (2x^3+8x^2). Multiply this by the final equation giving you 2x^4+32x^2
3. and 4. I usually use my TI-83 calculator to do these calculations...wish I could help.

I'll tell ya the quadratic formula.
-B plus or minus the square root of (B squared - 4 AC) all over 2A.
A is the coefficient of x^2
B is the coefficient of x
C is the constant.
Sorry our characters are so limited it's hard to write.
_________
-b +/- \/ b^2 - 4AC
2A
