I didnt watch the videos but ur guy friend is wrong. I'm a HUGE wrestling fan and my favorite musician is eminem and hes rap. My favorite music isnt rap. I like everything especially rap and rock. However I dont like jazz, blues, country or some R&B like Usher and R.Kelly

I'm not bothered by them, but the Rock and Metal music is pump you up make you angry music that gets you into or against the characters, rock just works better in this atmosphere.
