Pujols has probably already reached his peak. Howard still has a long way to go and is always healthy. Pujols has a little injury problem. But the Cardinals will be the better team for a while and Pujols has better leadership qualities than Howard does. I'll say Howard will have the better future since he still has a long career ahead of him while Pujols may not.

Pujols is, in my opinion, the best hitter in baseball! He can do it all and has done it for a few years now...... Howard is having a great year, but let him have a couple more years like this before you compare him to Pujols!
To me Pujols has a better future!

In my opinion a lot of it will depend on which team builds the better team around them. Pujols has a longer track record to be recognized as a power hitter. Howard is like a new entry. If I was to draft one and they were both available, I would take Pujols due to his positive team role he plays.

Easily Pujols. Pujols is the best hitter and first basemen in MLB right now. Ryan Howard is awesome but has too many strikeouts on his resume'

Pujols is the better player now, but Howard will have the better future, mainly because he stays healthy.

Pujols easy. Been doing it longer and better.
Here is the most important stat, their dates of birth:
Pujols - Jan 16, 1980
Howard - Nov. 19, 1979
That's right, Pujols is 3 monthes YOUNGER then Howard.

I am going to say Pujols. Howard has put up great numbers in his first two seasons, but Pujols has been doing it for now his 6th year. Pujols has put up UNMATCHED numbers all around...unmatched by EVERY other Major leaguer EVER. Howard hasn't done all of that...yet at least.
