Santonio Holmes? he didnt go to jail. about a week after the draft, he was arrested for blocking traffic or something like that in Miami, Florida. then he was arrested again for apparently assaulting a woman. but the domestic violence charges (the thing that happened in Miami) were dropped. so he still has a court hearing for the "assault" but he is still going to be able to play for the Steelers. he has been playing in the preseason and so far he's had 5 receptions for 43 yards and no TDs. thats now bad considering hes been playing only a quarter or two in the two games that the Steelers have played so far (he played a little in both). i'm not a steelers fan but Santonio Holmes might be the only reason i'll watch the Steelers' games, because Santonio Holmes played for my favorite college team-Ohio State!!
GOOOO BUCKS!

Santonio Holmes (born March 3, 1984 in Belle Glade, Florida) is a American football wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL. He attended The Ohio State University. Holmes left college a year early and was taken in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. The 25th pick overall, he was the first and only receiver taken in the first round.
Holmes was arrested in Miami Beach, Florida on May 27, 2006 for disorderly conduct. Charges were subsequently dropped after Holmes paid a fine. Holmes was arrested for a second time on June 18, 2006 for domestic violence and assault in Columbus, Ohio.
On July 7, 2006, Holmes appeared in Franklin County Court in Columbus Ohio for both a pre trial regarding the domestic case and hearing regarding the traffic ticket. He plead no contest to the traffic ticket and agreed to pay a fine. While Lashae Boone, the mother of Holmes' daughter and the victim in the assault case, requested that the domestic violence and assault charges be dropped, the prosecutor refused. Boone and their daughter accompanied Holmes to court. A trial date had been set for August 15, 2006, however Holmes' attorney, Samuel H Shamansky, believed that the case would be settled by that date. On August 11, 2006, the trial was postponed until August 30, 2006 due to a scheduling conflict.

No he isn't going to jail. The charges that were from the Memorial Day party WERE dropped. He just donated some money to this police man's fund as a fine. He didn't have a DUI. He was charged with failure to obey a lawful command. The case of the Domestic Dispute isn't settled yet as far as I know.As far as I know he will proably play, he has been playing in Preseason and they think he is good. Proably going to be doing kick return duty though, proably not too much as a WR.

He is not in jail but he did get arrested on what I believe was a misdemeanor. He will play but I would not expect much production until mid-year at best--Santonio Holmes.

Nothing, he's been playing all thru the pre-season & unless he gets hurt, he'll be on the roster come opening day. The charges(disorderly conduct) were dropped in Fla. & the charge in Ohio is going to be dropped.
