The Loch Ness "monster" -- affectionately known as "Nessie" -- is an alleged plesiosaur-like creature living in Loch Ness, a long, deep lake near Inverness, Scotland. Many sightings of the "monster" have been recorded, going back at least as far as St. Columba, the Irish monk who converted most of Scotland to Christianity in the 6th century. Columba apparently converted Nessie, too; for it is said that until he went out on the waters and soothed the beast, she had been a murderess.
The modern legend of Nessie begins in 1934 with Dr. Robert Kenneth Wilson, a London physician, who allegedly photographed a plesiosaur-like beast with a long neck emerging out of the murky waters. That photo created quite a fuss. Before the photo, Loch Ness was the stuff of legend and myth. The locals knew the ancient history of the sea serpent. But people came to the lake more to relax than to go on expeditions looking for mythical beasts. After the photo, the scientific experts were called in. First, they examined the photo itself. Could be a plesiosaur. Yes, but it could be a tree trunk, too. Or an otter. Later, there would be explorations by a submarine with high tech sensing devices. Today, we have a full-blown tourist industry said to have generated about $37 million in 1993, complete with submarine rides (about one hundred bucks an hour in 1994) and a multi-media tourist center. For those who can't go to Scotland, there is a webcam site for your viewing pleasure.

Loch Ness monster - large aquatic animal supposed to resemble a serpent or plesiosaur of Loch Ness in Scotland
Located in northern Scotland, Loch Ness is one of a series of interlinked lochs (lakes) which run along the Great Glen. The Great Glen is a large geological fault zone which runs across the country. For perhaps as long as 1,500 years, people in the area have believed that a large beast has lived in Loch Ness. Explanations for the existence of such a creature include ancient aquatic dinosaurs, giant fish, and other candidates.
Believers have a long list of sightings to rely upon, including a famous photograph taken by a surgeon in 1934. Unfortunately, a deathbed confession in 1993 revealed that this photograph was a fake. Deliberate attempts to find the creature have come up with nothing. Extensive sonar surveys of the loch have not revealed the presence of large creature. Believers maintain that the depth and size of the loch allow for underwater caves where a creature might hide - but the persistent lack of reliable evidence should incline any rational person to dismiss the existence of such a beast, but the income from tourist revenue makes that very unlikely.

Its not the Lochenes monster, its the Loch Ness Monster(Nessiteras rhombopteryx), a mythical sea serpent that many believe to live in the Loch Ness (Ness Lake) in Scotland. There are many that believe the creature is real however most cryptozoologists believe otherwise.

You mean Loch Ness Monster?
The Loch Ness Monster, sometimes called Nessie or Ness (Scottish Gaelic: Niseag) is a mysterious and unidentified animal or group of creatures said to inhabit Loch Ness, a large deep freshwater loch near the city of Inverness in northern Scotland. Nessie is usually categorized as a type of lake monster. Its disputed "scientific" name, as chosen by the late Sir Peter Scott, is Nessiteras rhombopteryx (which, coincidentally or not, is an anagram of "Monster Hoax by Sir Peter S.") Although no evidence exists to suggest the alleged creature's sex, the nickname "Nessie" sounds feminine, so the creature is often referred to as female.

I think You mean "Loch Ness". Loch is Scottish for lake, the name of which is "Ness". There have been sightings/reports and even some grainy photos over the years of a Sea Serpent resembling a Pre-Historic Pleisiosaur living in the Lake. That is the Monster of Loch Ness.

in ireland or england or something, in this lake there's supposed to be this creature. It supposedly looks like an aquatic dinosuar, long neck, spiny teeth, flippers, etc. Scientist and other believers think it is a dinosaur who somehow escaped extinction. But people have searched the lake that it lives over and over again, but they dont find anything

It's kind of a dinosaur-like animal that's supposed to be living in a big lake in Scotland. Although many scientific studies and experiments have been carried out, its real existence has never been proven until today.
