I suspect is has to do with piercing or some other modification. I'm curious exactly what is it.

It is where a person gets progressively larger earrings to increase the size of the hole. A couple of my friends' hole in his ear is large enough that I (or anyone else I guess) can put a straw through it and drink.
Usually there is a hole in the larger earrings so you can see through it.

it ability you place your ear on the piano and wiggle it to play.... in basic terms kidding. to play with the help of ear ability you may hear a song then play it without seeing sheet song, that's a gifted better after a good volume of musical practise (a million-2 years for average capacity, 6-10 years for a intense degree of ability)

you dont guage your ears trust me, its not called that. but what you are reffering to is when you progressivly stretch out your ears, from and an 8 guage to an 7 and it gets progressivly bigger.
guage means a standard messurement. witch makes sense since its called an 00 gauge, a messurement of how big your your peircing ring is.

Gauged ears are funny because when people take out the gauges or 'hole stretchers', their ears smell sooOoOOooo bad.

it's those ear piercings that look like a piece of metal/ plastic donut stuck in the ear lobe.

It s when you get a particularily larger earring that tapers to a pinted tip, so it makes the earholes get larger and larger and you put the "earring" in. They're so cool, i can fit my pencils in mine!

you pierce your ears and as you put different sizes in them the whole gets bigger.
