It's amazing that Barry Bonds who has never tested positive for steroids is hated by so many people. Yes he will come back next year and beat the record. I hope he goes to an American league team so he can be a DH

He hasn't had a very good season. He's not even sure he wants to play next season even. He said a few weeks ago that he wanted to spend more time with his son.

I don't think he honestly will. He would have to be back next season to just have a chance. There are no gurantees, but I hope he doesn't.

no barry bonds will not break the homerun record. he will retire next year or he might get kicked off the team cause of the steriod use. so he wont break it

Bonds is a farce - Drug Soaked Homerun record is what they should call it.
What a disgrace to the game.

My vote is for an * next to the name.

If he decides to play another year and is healthy, I say yes. At his current going rate, I say no. Don't be surprised if he retires during the off season. I think the biggest question is does he deserve to break the record if it does happen?

Nope. SF Giants Season ticket holder since 2000. Too old, too slow, possible 'roids use ( I don't know for sure) and will never leave SF to be a DH in the AL, although Anaheim might want him.

yes most likely he will. by the begging of next year, he will only need 20-25 hrs. he has already said that he is playing next year. also hes gone this far. do you actually think he will retire when hes less then 30 of the all-time record. i think not.

He will definitely do it probably next year. He currently has 725 and he might stay in SF or move to Oakland as a DH. The record will be broken hopefully next year.

I think he will because he will play UNTIL he gets it. I mean he is only 30 away from tying it. He used to hit 30 a year in his Pirate days. :)
