Some files are unnecessary to keep all the time. Heres a few things:

1) clean your temporary internet files...they clow down your computer. In Internet Explorer, click tools > Internet Options > Click delete files in second box

2) Defragmentation...cleans files that are damaged or unnecessary. Start > My Computer > Right click C Drive > Properties > Tools Tab up top > Defragmentation

3) Uninstall programs barely used. Start > Set Program Access and Defaults > Change and Remove Programs > from here click the program and click remove

IF any other help just message me...hope it helps
