“Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.”

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with other around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. Well if your issue is with Nonprofits, the fair tax should end that problem. I just have to say that most Nonprofits do not have the budget that the Salvation Army has. Most Nonprofits are local and have very small budgets. They do great works on a much smaller budget than a for profit business in the same field. The problem is not with the Nonprofit industry in general. Just the large unaccountable Nonprofits. Of course after 9/11, the reporting standards and overseeing of the industry got much better.

If your problem is with the D&A system, well that is a black hole in which we throw our money. The problem is we are forcing people into treatment. If you spend any time around addicts you find out fairly quickly that they will only get clean and sober when they are good and ready. My favorite saying for this is "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink." This sooooo applies to D&A.

If your problem is the social system in which the tax payer carries the burden of supporting the continual failure of the D&A addict, call your congressman. Get a movement going. After all you live in the States, those type of thing happen all the time. It would be nice to see a movement that didn't infringe on my rights and maybe would get some of my tax dollars back. Okay, I am dreaming about the tax credit. But, it would be nice. Another saying I like "If 10% is good enough for Jesus, then it should be good enough for Uncle Sam". I don't see that happening any time soon.

Legalize drugs, make welfare harder to get, but more useful to those who are willing to work.

I believe people can fall into a slump, and really need help to get out.

I also know that there are people who live lives on welfare, not even attempting to get off of it.

It is a crime to take from those willing to work only to give it to those who aren't.

There is no greater inequality than the equal treatment of unequal people.

We may be created equal, but we certainly do not die equal.

Maybe these places should employ the people on welfare. It will teach them some skills and then they can go get jobs elsewhere.

Why can't we require the people on welfare to get their GEDs and have programs that help them find jobs? Give a man a fish....

Thanks to the Democrats for getting people hooked on free handouts. The liberals want to keep everyone poor so they will vote for them to give them more freebies.
