try typing >ipconfig
I think you will have to release then renew
>ipconfig /release
>ipcongfig /renew
or to be sure
>ipconfig/?

You must disconnect from which ever server is assigning your IP address. When you reconnect, you will be assigned a new IP address. But only if IP addresses are dynamically assigned in your network.

if you are connected to a dhcp server,

you can do what nevwe said:

on the command prompt type:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
