Of course you WORK in mostly a Republican setting. What did you expect?
Maybe you're sick of the truth and you run on feelings? Most demos are wired like that.

I am conservative by nature, but I consider myseld a Liberal. I am conservative because I hold the Constitution very high and distrust politicians very much and don't like a lot of change on important things that have already been settled by smart men before us...individually there are many good representaives, but half are in it for the power or to inject agenda contrary to what this country was founded on, into our laws. I also like Capitalism
I am Liberal, because I believe that everyone deserves to share a piece of the American pie, not just the ones who have been the greediest. I believe in limiting Capitaliism and petty kings, guaranteed rights and processes, and giving something to the poorest among us even if that means some people take advantage of it.
I am a Humanist who believes in God.
The Republican party in my view is about power, money, greed and making us all in their image. There is no place for me in THEIR heaven. My basic morality is different down to the core from theirs. There is no place for religion in politics.

Could it be, that with all that exposure, you've learned to see through the BS, and you realize, they only pay lip-service, to those values, you choose to be your guiding principles!!! ~ In short, could be, you're thw "Real Deal" type of conservative the Republican Party USED to represent, back in the days of Abe Lincoln!!! ~ It's a SHAME there aren't more "Real" conservatives!!!
Doc
BTW!! ~ I'm just an old fart, who can remember the last good Republican to hold office!!! ~ It was Everett Dirkson, of Illinois, who indroduced a bill in Congress, to make the Daisey, the National Flower!!!!

Did you not pay attention in school? Are you paying too much attention to the wrong republicans?
Who needs to be a gung-ho republican anyways? I think it is far more important to know what the right thing is and then do it than nod your head to the mantra.

You have a moral aversion to the methods that they take to get their point across - it's the "bully on the playground" style of persuasion. Good for you for standing by what you believe in (not my beliefs - I respect that though) yet you are able to see the truth on a gut level for the methods employed to get their doctrine out.

Because you recognize that the political party does not represent your values.
The conservative movement and the Republican party are not the same. They just used to have a much larger overlap.

What is right right and what is wron is wrong. You learned to think for yourself and maybe you should re-think your political allegiance. The republican party these days isn't meeting your obvious standards.
