CALL THE COPS AND HAVE YOU ARRESTED!!!!
No they won't do that. Some or all of it might be lost due to the repairs.
The only things they are required by law to report is Obvious crimes like child porn, terrorist plans, other obvious criminal activity. You illegal music download are mostly a civil matter between you and the music and games industry. These entities can press criminal charges when the discover you have illegally downloaded their product.

If that is all you have, no problem. They make their money spending their time fixing computers, not playing Internet Gestapos. BUT, some stuff can bring you some heat. Those counterfeit $100 bills for example and kiddie porn is guaranteed to get you yelled at.

You could save it onto CD or a memory stick or floppy disk and remove it from your computer? Or if its broken so you can't access the illegal stuff you might be in a difficult situation. It would either regard you to explaining to the man who fixes your computer or buying a new PC.

They should do nothing, they are not there to enforce the law, they are there to fix your computer. Having said this, people have a tendency to make themselves involved in other peopls buisness.
If you are worried about it, back up your data and delete it off your harddrive or put another harddrive in the system and only load the OS, then take it in.

Uh........maybe report you to the nearest.......uhh......I dunna know. If it's porn, they might watch some clips. Or they'll delete all your illegal stuff just to make you mad. Why would they even check all that stuff out. They get paid by fixing as much as they can.

I doubt they would care about that stuff. If they found child porn, that would be the one thing that would get you in jail quicker than quick.

They as a company won't do anything-- they don't have the authority to prove that you don't legally own the stuff, and it would ruin their business if word got out that they reported possible offenses.
