Gallbladder is a pear shaped excretory ewc lodged in the fossa on the visceral surface of the right lobe of the liver. It is the storage for bile. It is on the right upper quadrant of your abdomen. The infection of gallbladder is called cholecystitis, usually caused by a stone that cannot pass through the cystic duct. The signs and symptoms are pain in RUQ of the abdomen, nausea, vomiting, and passing gas. Pain is most excrusiating usually at nights especially after a fatty meal.
Hope you will be feeling better soon. See a doc:) They can do a simple ultrasound to detect this.

next to the liver. It stores the gall your liver produces and secretes it in a controlled fashion to emulsify fats. You can live without your gallbladder. If you think you have an internal infection you should seek medical help immediately.
Gall Bladder Attack Symptoms
Acute onset of fever.
Pain in the right upper abdomen, under or below the rib cage.
Ingestion of fatty foods that produce pain in the abdominal area may indicate a chronic problem.
Mild Jaundice (may be noticed in the whites of the eyes).
Enlarged and tender area detected upon palpation just to the right below the rib cage.
Vague abdominal pain possible with chronic gall bladder conditions.

Up on the right side of your abdomen. Kind of behind your lower ribs. If you have gallbladder issues, you might be feeling a horrific stabbing pain that goes through to your back.
A test at a doctor's office can be done with an ultrasound when you have had no milk/dairy products.
Vomiting and diarrhea are other symptoms. If you are experiencing these, you might want to go to the ER -- MIGHT....

the gall bladder is on the right side of the body nestled under and behind the liver. The gall bladder rarely gets infected, but can fill with gall stones. Often the pain caused by this condition is referred to the mid and upper epigastrum, and you have alot of intestinal gas.

Right upper quadrant of the abdomen. It shares an out let called the common bile duct, with the liver. Pain from the gall bladder is often felt in the right shoulder blade area.

galbladder is under the liver. If it is infected it will hurt and you will have to have it removed. Most often when people feel pain on the right side they think is the gallbladder but it is actually the liver and probably becuase there is fat on it.

Sits just below your ribcage on the right side...the gallbladder is tricking though. It can refer pain to many other places such as the back!

It's not really a silly question, although you can look up internal organs on the internet.
Anyway, your gall bladder is south of your sternum and north of your navel, judging by the scars I've got.
