Foxtrot is easy, just as the walz. If you spend one night you can learn 3 or 4 basic dances easily. Get a private teacher for one saturday afternoon and you'll be fine!

i went on a cruise this past week and they had all these activities and one of them was a dance class, and they taught everybody the cha-cha ( the basic step, a step called the new yorker and another step i cant remember the name of) in half an hour, if they can do that, then you could learn more in an hour long class. Its really easy and its such a fun dance

Are you looking for modern dance or do you care?
Your local "leisure learning" organization may have ballroom dancing or square dancing. Your local SCA group can teach you renaissance dancing (psst! really easy to learn!).

You didn't specify which kind of music you're going to dance to. I doubt if you are interested in polkas, waltzes or such. Is it modern music you desire to dance to?
