Well let me tell you what there is Judaism which is a religion and there is Jewish which is a ethnicity so all people with Jewish ethnic decent don't necessarily practice Judaism. Just like a white person could practice Hinduism or Buddhism yet their ethnic background would probably be European. Just like a black person could be a Japanese citizen he/she would technically be Japanese right?

OK here it is in a nutshell: Judaism is a religion and a nationality. If you are Catholic you could be an Irish Catholic or an Italian Catholic, etc. When you are Jewish that is your religion AND ethnicity. Jews have been scattered all over the globe. It doesn't matter if you are from Europe,Asia or anywhere else. Most Jewish people are caucasian. So, a Jewish person from Italy is the same as a Jewish person from the US. Although some people refer to it as the Jewish race, what they really mean is the Jewish people. I know it sounds confusing, but I hope this helped a bit.

In my opinion none. you cam meet Jewish Arab complexion or European complexion which means some how the Jewish through the years they got mix to different Europeans - Asians from the Russian part.
for the part of mentality is only a saying, what they mean is different culture. it is different. for example if ten Chinese and ten Jewish emigrate to any country after 3 generations the Chinese culture disappeared, while the Jewish about 70% remains.
it is called conservation of the culture faith not share it like the Christians.
if you read a little history The Romans and the Greeks start the Christianity, and the Normans spread all over Europe, and then the Spanish brought it to America follow by the Portuguese - English
who spread to Africa and some parts of Asia.
Now we talking differed mentality Caucasians say let's teach the word of Jesus while the Jewish think let's conserve our faith of being the chosen people's god.
I hope you get my point

It seems very odd to me that so many people don't seem to realize that Jews are a "race" or at least an ethnic group. Jews trace their ancestry to the tribes of Israel, and many have last names derived from the names of the tribes. One is born a Jew, and someone who is not born a Jew can convert under only limited circumstances. And, some types of Judaism do not allow conversion at all.
I think one reason is that many Christians want to believe that Judaism is closer to Christianity than it actually is. By the same token, they want to believe Islam is diametrically opposed to Christianity.

Growing up I didn't know much about Judaism and I was under the impression it was a race. Since so many Jews are Semitic and the religious tradition involves speaking Hebrew I think it's easy to get confused.
Think of it this way: if a Buddhist from Asia went to South America, he might get the impression that a Hispanic and a Catholic are the same thing because so many South Americans are Catholic. Well, many Jews are Semitic, so it's easy to get confused. My wife is from Ecuador and I'm from Utah; she used to think all Mormons had blonde hair and blue eyes because that's what you see here.

It is a faith, since it is a belief system. The racial identify of Jews as a Semetic people has changed drastically in the past centuries. They have intermarried with other populations just enough to closely resemble the locals in the area.

I have been told that they like to consider themselves a race. Maybe 5,000 years ago they were. But a Jew can be of any racial description. If they are originally Semitic, why do some have blonde hair and blue eyes like Paul Newman? (Not that I object, because even as an old man, he is still something special)

Judaism is many things to many people. It depends, from what I've heard, on the individual Jewish person. I've known religious Jews, cultural Jews, And racial Jews. Some, encompass, one or two, or all three. It depends on the person, and how they wish to define themselves.
