A minimum size for a quality Lasertag arena would be about 2500 square feet. I've heard of them for less but the capacity would be minimal. I would think you'd need to at least quadruple that for paintball, and that's with loads of obstacles, but the paintball dimensions would just be personal opinion.

I'd go farther and say to have capacity for 30-40 people at once, maybe 5k sq ft, although you could multi-level.

4x that for paintball sounds reasonable, although I have seen indoor places that used mostly non-automatic pistols get away with much smaller areas with lots of obstacles.

The areas for Airsoft seem much smaller than for paintball as well, you may want to look into that - I've also heard that the equipment is cheaper, so it could lower your capex if your supplying weapons. Here's an airsoft link:
