Python Lee Jackson; In A Broken Dream. Rod's best performance ever! The album is worth checking out; Rod sings 2 more and some, though not quite all, of the other songs are good, too.

Python Lee Jackson was a 1960s Australian band. The group's most famous hit was In a Broken Dream featuring Rod Stewart as guest vocalist.
Recorded in London in 1969, "In a Broken Dream" languished until the mid-70s when it rose to number three in the British charts and #56 in the US Hot Hundred.

Rod has had quite a career and has sung in Small Faces, Jeff Beck Group, etc. He also sang with Glass Tiger, a successful Canadian band, who weren't a 'one hit wonder', at least not here in Canada -- the lead singer, Alan Frew is Scottish and had Rod sing with the band on "My Town"...Rod also sang with Ron Isley on "This Old Heart of Mine", and was featured with Python Lee Jackson in 1968 on the album "In A Broken Dream". He also was very involved with his long time friend, Long John Baldry.
(Can you guess that I absolutely adore Rod Stewart?)
