Do you homework in order by the day that the homework is due (or finish it as soon as you get it.) For projects, you should space out the work evenly).
Study for tests if you need to, but you should always quickly review yourself right before the test.

A little secret I did in high school to remain on the honor roll, when I had a test coming up, I would remember the answers by making them into a song. Like, sing to the tune of a song you like the Christmas song "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas" sing "The first president was George Washington." Hope I'm explaining this clearly. Really worked for me.

A good way to keep good grades is too, pay attention in class, complete homework assignments, and turn assignments in on time, also don't rush through things and this way you will get better scores on them and that makes better grades and more stable.

Spreading your studying to little each day if you can and avoid waiting till a night before any test to review.
Get with a partner which is strong in the area you're weak in, students can oftens explain in easier language.
