i heard he was a major jerk when he was co-hosting season 1 of american idol, and he basically cost his co-host his job. ever since i heard that, i just think he's the one who doesn't deserve getting the jobs.
he can read a cue card, memorize some things, and be friendly in front of a camera/crowd. and he gets paid way too much for doing so.

He's very lucky. He's been in the right place at the right time. He's not talented, but he has a weird charisma that appeals to a lot of the nation. He doesn't really "do" anything except talk...but the way he talks, what he says, and the fact that he's VERY easy to make fun of is what makes him noticable. He's one of those people who shouldn't necessarily be famous, but just so happens to make people listen to him.

Because he's a hustler who knows how to get in where he fits in and work it like there's no tomorrow. Lots of people are in the same boat as him...they aren't extremely talented or drop dead gorgeous but they have been able to get in with the movers and shakers and secure their spot. We the people made him famous because all a person has to do is get on television and we idolize them.
