All are cute.....are you opposed to people shortening the name because you KNOW they are. Gabriella/Gabi and Sophie/Sophie and Valentina/Val....I have an Emilyann (her first name) and undoubtedly she is called Emily more than not. Depending on the last name the child will have, think of the syllables and how they flow. The names you picked are very similar in syllables, so, personal choice. Don't worry about what anybody else thinks; it is YOUR baby!! By the way, we too have 2 daughters and our second one is Paige.....Also, maybe think of how the 2 girls names sound together - as you probably will be saying both a LOT.. CONGRATS and GOOD LUCK!!!

First thing is first, Congrats on the baby!
Those are interesting combinations....I'm sure there is a reason why those specific names are chosen, whether it be relatives, or just creativity.
Here is what I think: Sophia Valentina sounds beautiful. It reminds me of one of those movie stars...Angelina Jolee or something, you know, one of the names that is just fun to say.
My niece's name is Gabriella, and instead of Gabby, my brother and sister-in-law call her Ella...its cute.
Valentina as a first name could easily be shortened to Val...my sister's nick name is Val....but if you want other suggestions how about Savannah Valentina or maybe Valentina Rose? I love the name Abigail...what about
Abigail Sophia?

I LOVE the name Valentina how cute! I would go with Valentina Sophia, or Sophia Valentina it sounds like a nice name to say, and very friendly sounding. I dislike the name Gabriella, caus' it reminds me of when people say Gabby, Gabby. Good luck and congrats!!!

I knew a girl named Valentina. She went by Tina. I think it is a great name--stick with your heritege--don't listen to anyone. But my favorite of the 4 is Sophia Valentina. Sounds like you are trying to keep it Italian? How about Gia? Alessandra? Vittoria? Gioia? Mia? Mia Alessandra? Or Mia Gabriella?

Also, not sure what your first daughter's name is...but there is a book out there called Baby Name Wizard. It gives good brother/sister name suggestions.

It is funny, because a lady I work with has two daughters named Sophia and Gabrielle. I like Sophia Gabrielle best and Gabriella Sophia second best. Good luck on the birth of your daughter!

My husband and I plan to use the name Gabriella (after his late grandmother) if we have a daughter one day. There are many fun nicknames other than Gabby, too, like Brie, Brielle, Briella, etc. Frankly, I think all four names are really beautiful, but of the four I like "Sophia Gabrielle" most because it sounds less sing-songy without "a"s at the end of both the first and middle names. Good luck and congrats!
