Well, you tell him it took your mother 2 hours to make that soup - and you ARE taking it on the plane - it's a long journey.
Have you seen the food they give you on that flight?

well, you may want to put this somewhere else. :) this is the wrong area.
just try not to bring any liquids.. no water, soda, listick, makeup, lol, anything like that.
