Go see your doctor right away about this. Shortness of breath is only normal after you've exerted yourself. If you're just standing or resting and you get short of breath, there is something wrong with your heart and/or lungs.
Go see a doctor right away!

you may have any of the following:
1. minor asthma
2. an allergy to something in the area
3. anxiety
No matter which one it may be you need to see your doctor asap.
Breathing difficulties can lead to devastating consequences if untreated.
Definately see a doctor.

I've heard of this happening especially in teenage girls. They seem to be too aware of how they are breathing..like knowing each breathe they take..pretty soon they are concentrating too much on breathing and actually making themselves hyperventilate.
