First off, I'm a straight guy.

So there's this guy in my art class who is very talented and funny, but I think he's gay. He takes every chance to sit next to me and we get along and stuff, but I don't want it to get awkward or him to get the wrong idea.

I really don't want to confront him about it either, since he could just be metro and really nice... but...

What do I do?

You can be friends with someone who might be gay. If you are not threatened, go ahead and be his friend. If he wants to move that along beyond friendship, you will have to be honest and tell him that you are not attracted sexually. Don't lead him on.

Not really much you could do dude.....Just keep it as a friends basis and unless you come onto him, from the sounds it, I doubt he'll try anything with you. But if he does, turn him down nicely and then move your seat because it'll get awkward from that point on. Good luck.

I agree that you should hint that you are not gay by talking about girls you like, but try to be natural and don't make anything up.

man you know he's gay just set him straight only if he steps in your square. You have to have a reason for setting him straight, so do something only when he touches you or say something gay.

Start talking about girls you think are hot, are interested in. Dont' try to make him feel left out, just let him know that you like girls.

Just say something like - my girlfriend and I saw a great movie this past weekend - have you seen it? or something like that. That will give him the hint.
