I am a 35 yr old female, realizing that i prefer females in the last 4 years, how do i go about telling my family??

I am so glad that you are finding your happiness and totally honest to your feeling. Now it is a process that it is going to be very difficult to express your true feeling to your family. Now do you have your gut to say to them and prepare to hear a comment or rejection from them. So far I have seen people are open and welcome from family. Unfortunately, I do not know them well to predict the outcome. But I want you to know that you have your right to be who you are and happy the way you want to be. It is America and let's celerbrate your fredom loud and clear.

Tell them very delicately! Families have a hard time accepting same sex relationships. Even though they may not accept you at first eventually they will because they love you!

Chose a quiet, private setting. Tell them that you know they might be unhappy at what you have to tell them, but that you have always wanted to share everything with them, good and bad. Then tell them what your feelings are about liking women. Tell them you wouldn't want to hurt them for the world, but you must be who you ARE and you are wanting more than anything to have their support and love right now.

Straight up and tell them.What they going to do.Little late in year to find out you want women.If that what makes you happy go for it.

You can always come right out and say guess what mom and dad??? I'm gay!!! Or you can just let them catch you kissing your friend on the couch. Its up to you.
