I doubt you can get government funding for a private school that is self supportive. Try suggesting ways to raise money through car washes or selling something to the public that can donate to the cause. Take a look around online for ways you can raise money. My son was in a private school the same way and we did car washes and sold cookies/candi to raise enough money for more play ground equipment back when they first opened the school. It was fun and all the kids were involved as well as the parents
Good luck

I don't know if the government will fund it if it is a Christian School but possibly if it isn't. But better yet, instead of having taxpayers pay for it, go to a large company and ask them to sponsor the playground. Companies get tax breaks for charitable donations and a playground wouldn't be a very large expense for a large company who spends millions of dollars everyday.

you can check with the local and state governments but I don't think they have that kind of funding....better going through the parish and taking the steps from there. they'll get the some of the money through the religious organization, you'll probably still have to throw some bake sales.
a good fundraiser is selling Avon, check with your local Avon and find out how to go about this. My daughter's school makes a lot of money selling Avon.

I take it it is a religious school? Probably no tax based funding, But religious based schools can float their own bond issues, or bake sales, fund drives etc. Many call on grandparents to help fund not only their grandchildren, but donate to the school to help the school stay in operation.

Before W it was not possible for a religious school to get federal funding. It is now, unfortunately, but it won't last.
In house programs; candy bars, sell Avon, etc. etc. might help.

No, private is just that, private. Your school can, however, participate in the Campbell Soup Labels for Education and can get matching money depending on how many labels come in.

sometimes community grants are available, but I'm thinking you will have to raise the money yourself
