Actually the IUA Just finished there voting and by unanimous decision based on such esoteric things such as how ingrained the idea of Pluto being a planet is in our culture they decided that all objects Pluto's size and Larger are in Fact Planets. In addition this Has increased our planetary community by 2 as there have been 2 new Oort objects discovered in the past few years that are Pluto Sized or Larger and this is what prompted the Vote. The Discovery of these 2 as well as a growing # of Exosolar planets are giving us an incredible new view of the galaxy and Our place in it.
Thanks
Well due to new evidence I may have been wrong. I truly wish they would get this straight as the Article I have in My e-mail is claiming its planethood

Pluto, a planet since 1930, got the boot because it didn't meet the new rules, which say a planet not only must orbit the sun and be large enough to assume a nearly round shape, but must "clear the neighborhood around its orbit." That disqualifies Pluto, whose oblong orbit overlaps Neptune's, downsizing the solar system to eight planets from the traditional nine.

Pluto is now part of a "binary dwarf planet system" with Charon, which used to be considered its moon. But it's almost as big as Pluto, and their center of gravity is in the space between them.

It will never be a moon because it doesn't orbit another planet. It still orbits the Sun, it's just so small that it's now being referred to as a "dwarf planet."

Moon baby....*LoL* I don't know. I've been hearing bits and pieces of it. Rather interesting what classifies what as what.
