Women are only able to have children up to a certain age. Men generally want women for their ability to reproduce. Granted you will see older women with younger men sometimes but the older women usually LOOK much younger than their age.
Women try to keep looking young so that they can continue to attract mates and the resources those mates are willing to spend on a viable reproductive partner.
It is a bit different for men because they are able to reproduce pretty much until they die and they are also able to offer women resources.

Because history dictated that younger women were more attractive. Because the fashion and beauty world says that old is ugly. Because men don't like wrinkles. Because we don't want to admit that our youth is behind us. Because we get tired of watching middle aged men leave their wives for younger women.
Take your pick. There are many reasons that women don't like to admit their age once they hit 30 or 40 or 50+.
When we are young, we want to look older, we don't want to be a child anymore. But when we get to an adult age, we want to look younger again. It makes no sense, and I can't explain it better than that.

Because getting older for women is harder than it is for men. Young women rule older men so it is hard to see ourselves be less attractive than our younger counterparts.

coz they wanna stay young & beautiful forever, lemme give u a piece of advuce when u know a girl's age tell her that she looks younger than that, most girls become happy by hearing that

Because society values youth.
For women it is beauty which is equated with youth.
For men it is success and prosperity.

cuz then if they say there age ppl wil think they are old then they wont wanna be with them anymore...thats MY theory
