For one, your metabolism reacts as though you had some sort of fatal illness and more or less shuts down, robbing you of the majority of your energy and making it so you won't lose significant weight no matter how little you eat.

Dying is the ultimate danger> Because of the constant throwing up internal hemorrhaging can and often does occur and it requires immediate emergency medical care to stop the internal bleeding if it can be stopped for the lining buy overuse gets too weak.Isolation-for anyone having this secret can't live a full , normal life-for after one eats one has to find privacy to throw up. A certain energy level has to be maintained to live a normal every day life and simply not possible when food although eaten is not in the system long enough for the required nutrients to be absorbed and available for use.No social life-although slim is in-bones showing and getting so thin that one resembles a walking skeleton is not and neither is it attractive to the opposite sex. Anyone considering this should pay really close attention to the danger of internal bleeding-hemorrhaging for even if the required medical care is gotten and they are able to stop the bleeding- a clot can form that isn't noticed and that can lead to strokes. Bulimia is a very dangerous disease for often when the bulimic wants to stop finds he/she is unable to without professional help.

There are a lot of effects of bulimia.
From the binging, the stomach can actually tear from overeating.
From fasting, the metabolism slows down causing heavy weight gain once regular eating starts again, heart problems, sleeping problems, osteoporosis early, malnutrition, and possible death.
From vomiting comes erosion of teeth enamel, a puffy face from swollen glands in the face and mouth, internal bleeding, callouses, osteoporosis, stomach ulcers, possible heart attacks, and possible death.
From laxative use comes addiction to the medication, dependency to the medication to function normally, kidney damage, sleeping problems, water retention, and osteoporosis.
From excessive exercise, stress fractures can occur, electrolyte imbalance, heart problems, loss of menstrual cycle and fertility, and fatigue.
The causes of the disorder are depression, jumiliation, disgust, low self-esteem, anxiety, and anger.

Heart attack, esophageal ulcers, esophageal cancer, hiatal hernias, ostoporosis...
Tooth and mouth problems, such as discolored and decalcified teeth, and sensitive, swollen, and bleeding cheeks and gums. These are caused by vitamin deficiencies and by the stomach acid that comes up with vomit.
Stomach pain and intestinal irregularities, such as constipation and diarrhea.
Remember Terri Schaivo? She had a heart attack and a stroke and became a BRAIN DEAD VEGETABLE because of bulimia.

the acid from your digestive fluids errodes both your esophagus, and teeth. many former bulemics loose their teeth later in life. the low ammount of nutrients that your body is able to obsorb before you purge can result in weakened bones, slower healing times from both minor & major wounds. Also a tolerance to purging develops and many people cannot stop after a certain ammount of time

Your body becomes used to throwing up and then you can't keep anything down. Hard on the digestive system too.

You may die. If you don't die, you'll be weak and tired plus you may develop various mental conditions. And much much more.
Please, don't ever do that to yourself!
