I think you've become accustomed to the scent. I've noticed that once I wear a perfume continuously, I can barely smell it. But everyone else tells me that my perfume smells great. If you’re more concerned about being able to smell it yourself you could try this:
1. Rotate perfumes every week. For instance, I wear Coco Mademoiselle one week and Chanel No. 5 the next week. But make sure the perfumes have similar key notes in them. (ex: musk, vanilla) If they don’t, they’ll both smell weird when you wear them because the scents are too different.
2. You could buy the actual Parfum of the scent. It’ll cost more than the Eau De Parfum, but it’s the most concentrated, the scent lasts longer, and you don’t have to wear as much.
3. Or you could buy the whole Perfume set. (Body wash, Powder, Lotion, and Perfume) That way you can layer the scent on and it’ll be stronger and last longer.

Well, first of all, the smell is there. You just don't notice it because you become accustomed to the scent. Ask a close friend, they can tell you that it's still there.
Second, layer your fragrance for the longest lasting scent. This doesn't mean tons of perfume. Start with a body wash in the same scent, then lotion, then the perfume. Don't use different scented products or the smells will clash.
Third, make sure you are applying the perfume to your pulse points. They are the warmest parts of your body, and heat helps to release the scent. The base of your neck on the side, insides of your wrists, inner elbows, behind the knees, and behind the ears are some of the most common spots for fragrance.

First pick the purfume that fits most they are:
Spices – for casual wear.
Floral – for more elegant occasions.
Natural scents – for work and everyday.
Then apply like so:
Holding the bottle in one hand with your finger over the bottle opening tip the bottle until the fluid moistens your fingertip on the other hand.
Apply by dabbing the perfume to the pulse points of your body they are:
1. On your neck just below your ear lobes
2. Behind your knees
3. Your ankles
4. A little on the chest area
5. Your wrists
Tips:
Always apply your fragrance before you dress. It is very difficult to remove the scent of perfume from clothing.

If you have a close friend, ask them if they smell your perfume from time to time through out the day. Remember...you only want people to smell you when they become extremely close...like around a foot...no more. You definitely don't want them to smell you b4 they see you...or know that you are around by your scent. That is offensive and people will begin to avoid you regardless of how good you smell.
If you find that your perfume looses its strength after a while carry a small bottle around with you that you can refresh with a wee dab. Be careful though...perfume and musk does not mix well.

Spray it in your hair preferablly the top, your head produces heat, the heat will make make it stand out in a good way. plus when you move your hair the scent goes with it making people notice it more, also you can spray it in between your breast, it also produces heat. Do not spray perfume dierctly onto your clothes, it will make your clothes smell like perfume, not you. Also another thing if your perfume has a shower gel, shampoo, or lotion or if you can find a similar scent, thats smells almost like your perfume you can use those as well and then mist your self in your perfume, but trust me you won't come out smelling like a french w*ore

People with dry skin usually find their fragrance holding time shorter than those with oily skin because oily skin has more natural moisture to hold in the fragrance.
PH levels (amount of acidity in our skin) also varies slightly from person to person. Our individual levels of PH will determine how each ingredient in a fragrance will react.
Blondes or people with light skin have a tendency towards dry skin, and fragrances are basically oils that will be absorbed by the skin like moisturizers. To help your fragrance last longer use a matching body lotion or unscented body lotion to apply to pulse points before applying your fragrance.
Body chemistry, diet and age affect fragrances on their skin. Also, fragrance consists of many essential oils. Certain essential oils have affinity to our skin, and they may be absorbed while other may not. This creates an imbalance on the skin and accounts for the difference.
Fragrances are designed to last about 4 hours or so. Some people may notice that a particular fragrance lasts all day but by then it will not smell as it's supposed to. You must re-apply once or twice a day.

Apply it to your wrist, neck and back of your knee. Your body heat will make the perfume last longer and smell better through out the day.

If you exfoliate your skin in the shower, your perfume will last longer. Also if you layer with shower gel, lotion and then your spray, it will last alot longer. Its a little bit of an investment but you will buy less frequently. I used to be a manager in one of the top lines. We attended alot of training classes.Another tip, spray your fragrance and then walk into it, if you spray on your body hold it out and away. Spray on pulse points, wrists, arms, but never rub wrists together, it just rubs the fragrance away!

I bet you part of the problem is that you are so used to the scent of the perfume yourself that you no longer smell it on yourself.
But - to make the scent last longer - try buying the lotion in the same scent, apply that first and then your perfume. Works for me!

I read in a magazine that after you spray it, just because you can't smell it doesn't mean it's not working. It's just that you're used to the scent. You know how like if you go somewhere that stinks or something, you kinda get used to it after a while? That's how it works. You know what I'm saying?
