My brother told me it's a type of tank-top old men, rednecks and cholos wear. Is this right or does it mean something else? I always hear it referred to in regards to rednecks in some way or other. If anybody can give me a link that would help.

He's right to an extent. It's a white tank top style undershirt. The movies made them a popular stereotype on abusive men. Watch an older movie, the the guy is sitting in his recliner yelling at his wife while holding a beer in one hand and the remote in the other. She still doesn't please him, so he gets up out of the chair to hit her. The guy was always wearing an old stained white tank undershirt. Try Robert De Niro in Raging Bull or Marlon Brando in "A Streetcar Named Desire". Classics.

It's a simple white tank top or A-shirt. Men wear them as undershirts a lot of the time... Eminem wore them a lot and some women wear them for an undershirt or tank top alone... It's got nothing to do with just old men or rednecks. A lot of guys wear them.

it's a new slang term for a tank style mens white undershirt. There is no website. My Grandfather, my father and my husband wear one. They are none of the above. Mostly worn under dress shirts or alone for comfort.

It's definitely a t-shirt, the tank top kind, but I notice more young men wearing them now, it used to be only a red neck thing.

it's a tight tanktop that men wear...not just rednecks...I've seen women wear them to. Most of them have a tattoo style design printed on them. My husband has 2. the wrestlers started the style. I think either Triple H or Goldberg wore the 1st one...I could be wrong though.
personly I think they are sexy on men.
