My guess would be that it goes to the Quadling country, which is south of the Emerald City. According to the book, the land of Oz is divided into 4 sections/countries, each with their own color.

The Quadling country was characterized by the color red.

i always wondering about that red brick rd...so whereever they diverged i'm guessin it went where the yellow brick rd did not...if you could possibly look to see if there were bricks under the house that fell on the witch then that would help....but it would be quite interesting if the red brick rd lead her back to kansas.
