you know, in these application forms, asking you "what made you apply to this job".
I was wondering, what you'd say, would you say how good the company is, how your skills match their requirement or is it somethin' on the lines". How exactly would you phrase your answer if you were asked this in an interview.
Would appreciate any help

Yeh, i know most ppl look for a job either cuz of better pay or position or cuz their present job sucks, but you can't actually say that in an interview, its considered highly unprofessional & besides, you'd be eliminated on the spot.

Put down your biggest ambitions and goals in your life and how this job will make you succeed greatly and that you will become a big asset to the company. Don't put anything that the company already knows. For example, for a college application, if you put all your activities, clubs, etc, don't mention them again. Try to make your response different from the average applicant. Make it so the interviewer can easily distinguish between the top applicants that the company wants. Show all your strengths. For example, you could say you have many advertising ideas and include one to show your innovation and creativity instead of just saying, "I have innovation and I am creative". Make it as interesting, as a person who doesn't know you is reading it. Keep it simple, don't try to impress too much, act like you're trying to explain your qualities to a child. I'm not kidding, all these things work! Good luck, I know you'll get the job. Also, don't forget to be positive and confident! That takes out a bunch of applicants. The form is however half the battle in most cases, because you may have to also do an interview, so remain truthful as well!

If you are applying to the job then you must have some kind of interest in it. I would start by showing enthusiasm. Through experience I have learned that an employer wants to hire someone that enjoys doing that line of work. Be specific and unique. Don't just say, I applied to this job because its a good company. Point our all the details that really interest you and do emphasize that the position you're interviewing for is something that you would enjoy doing.

You tell them that this is the company that you can see yourself moving forward with because...You fill in the rest with how your qualifications and experiences along with your education meet the needs of the company's position. Tailor it to the job description as you understand it to be.
Before you interview make sure to check out the company on the web. Many employers are impressed when an applicant already understands the product or service the company provides.

Pretty much something along those lines....State that if the company is looking for good computer skills and you've dealt with computers all your life for however long that you've been working on computers for the last 10 years. Pay attention to what their looking for and somehow incorporate that into your skills......Looking for long term person, state your looking for a long term challenging position in a well rounded environment.

it depends on what kind of a jonb you're applying for. If its an adult job than the skills answer would be good but if it is a job like scooping ice cream you can just say i need to make some money so i can be independent. Or if its a job like selling somehting & trying to influence people to buy something like sneakers say how good you are at persuading people.

Say something about the benefits and competative wages. The reputation of the company.
I once filled out an application that asked "when was your last menstrual period". The lady filling out an application beside me was like 65yo & was trying to remember back like 15 years. LOL!

I would say I applied because I was broke and needed the money and I fit what they were looking for so we could help each other out. They need help and I needed a job.

I'd say things about how I found out about the company, what I like about it and that I can bring many things to the table (skills).
