just because you can't spell very well it doesn't mean your thick!!!
i have an IQ of 165 but i find it hard to spell properly. i am almost dependant on a spell check.

and it doesn't mean you'll end up in a crap job either. i was a manager in a pottery factory for many years. on good money and hitting all targets above and beyond expectations.

my niece is dyslexic and has a university degree.

so i say "pants" to all of you who believe your so much better than every one else by belittling people and trying to make yourselves look clever because the truth of it is if your comfortable with yourself you don't need to prove anything to anyone.

and just remember it is impossible to be perfect, so you may be able to spell but your REALLY bad at something else that others are great at!!!

When I see grammer the way you do I think of the ten commandments. This is too serious. But when I think of grammer, I think of rules that show me what I can do. And I am only interested in these rules because I want to be able to write. So, I prefer to learn my grammer from a favorite author, or book, or magazine. I try to learn grammer where it is of some interest to me. I see grammer as organic. It grows or shrinks according to the use. I admit it is hard to find a good way to learn grammer. I think you have the best idea: talk about it with people who really care about it. School is a shitty way to learn about grammer. But most people need to go to school. I try to find books, people and other sources that make it more alive for me. Good luck. Sounds like you are having a good vent.

Is the important what you and twice but grammar I will said and you if once spelling for same

if one hundred people tell you you're on fire, then maybe you should check to see if you are... the same goes for being ignorant.

bad grammar (and spelling) makes people appear uneducated, and how do you take someone seriously when they don't have the desire to show you they are serious.

Fun is fun... bad grammar is just bad

It's fine as long as you can understand what the person is trying to say, which sometimes you really can't! And I don't get why the grammar and spelling is so bad anyway.....weren't we all taught this in school?

Proper grammar and punctuation are conducive and neccessary to clear and concise communication!
If you were to tell me that "I swallowed my gum and a boy who was standing there laughed." I would think that you had attempted to digest your chewing gum along with a laughing boy.
I could only hope that a boy who could laugh during such a gruesome endeavor would be able to reflect upon his horrible life as he died, and realize that he wasted his time fraternizing with people who didn't know how to spell!
Oh! The horror of it all!

Most people care. It's part of the dumbing down of America - when people can't spell or express themselves. And then they wonder why they can't get a better job, etc.

I think that good spelling, grammar and punctuation are always important. A slack approach to fundamental good English shows a possible slipshod approach to many other aspects in life.

Really! If someone doesn't agree with whatever you say there first response is: "It's "their" not "there" you idiot! Learn to spell before you make a jack@zz out of yourself!
