I got my ears pierced for the first time last month, its been 6 weeks now, so when i took out my starters, my ears started bleeding a little but i didnt pay much attention, i put on my hoop earrings, then when i got back home i took them out and went to sleep, i got up then when i tried to put my starters back on it wouldnt go back in, so i used a little force then when i got it in it started bleeding even more, I THOUGHT AFTER 6 WEEKS I COULD TAKE THEM OUT!!! why are my ears not healed yet...or is it something else?

you can still take them out, but your ears are still going to pus and bleed a little. when putting earrings in, especially at the beginning, you have to figure out the "track" that the earrings go in, b/c if you deviate from the track and force it, then you will make your ears bleed a lot. try putting in your earrings at different angles, and if it hurts a lot, then that's not the right track. and most of all, be patient!

You don't have to cut your ears off and pray to Jesus. They should be okay to take out after 6 weeks but not for longer then 3 hours. Keep them clean and ALWAYS put the starter pair back in. You arent supposed to wear hoop or dangly earrings for i think after 6 months to a year after peircing. Thats why your ears bled. You made them bleed cuz of that and having to re peirce them. Just keep them clean and sometimes really cheap earrings will irritate your ear and do funky stuff to them. If your ears don't improve in a day or two go see your doctor. Good luck

Most people can change them out after 6 weeks, but some can't. I have 10 holes in my ears and everyone of them took more like 16-20 weeks to heal. To this day I still cannot take my earrings out for more than a few hours or my holes will close up.
It sucks, but some people are just that way. It's normal.

Your ears are not fully healed and the hoops were probably too heavy for the earring hole. Try a smaller hoop or go back to the original earrings that were placed in your ear when you got them pierced.

You can change your earrings but you cannot remove them, you allowed the hole to close and just repierced your ear. You'll need to start taking care of your ears as if they were new piercings again-and do not use the ear care solution, it's very harsh. mix 1/4 tsp of sea salt (not table or epsom) to 8oz water and soak for 10min 2x a day. there is no need to turn the jewelry either...it can damage the healing fistula (the tube of skin the jewelry sits in) and your ear does not grow onto it.

you need to leave some kind of earrings in all the time for the first year before leaving them out overnight.

You are not healed yet.
Most people heal within that 6 week time frame, but obviously you are not within that.
Keep cleaning them and if it still seems like they are not healing properly in a couple of weeks, see your doc.
