There is what I think is a planet in the south eastern sky when you look at it through a telescope it has 2 what may be moons to the right and it looks like another to the left of it. Now the moons could be stars but you cannot seem them with the naked eye you can only see them through the telescope. I have searched for the answer online but cannot find it. It is white and perfectly round. If you look to the east it is to the left of the sunset. Oh someone please help me it is driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you.

Jupiter. Definitely. Do you also see two faint bands across the center of Jupiter's disk? There should be 4 moons visible actually. Maybe one of them was behind Jupiter at the time you were viewing it. The four moons are known as the "Galilean" moons, after Galileo who first spotted them. They are Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto. Jupiter has over 12 moons, but those four are the largest and can easily be seen through a small telescope.

Is it beautiful? Could be Venus. It appears at night and an sunrise. The Greeks thought it was two different planets, Hesperus and Phosphorus.
