I think the ones who appear on ESPN and ABC should. They are making a small fortune for the networks and the sponsors like ACE Hardware and such. Child actors get paid for making people money, why not these kids who appear on TV? I wouldn't go giving them hard cash, but I'd definitely set up a trust for them, say $1000 per kid. Little League makes MILLIONS each year. The Networks make MILLIONS from televising these games. Of course the kids should get more than a pizza party. If this were happening in China we'd be waving flags and boycotting Walmart.

definetly not
as a former little leaguer (played baseball/softball since age 4) and still playing, it would be nice to get paid but if i did i would most likely lose my love of the game for what it is, not how much it pays. also i would feel forced to play year after year instead of being asked to. let them be kids while they can.

I think it sends the wrong message to pay kids to play. As it is, the atheletes who are getting paid are sending the wrong message to kids by saying, "I'll only play for a contending team that will pay me the millions I need." These kids play for the love of the game and its purity. And parents sometimes cheat even then to get a kid on the team (remember Danny Almonte?). No, don't pay them. Baseball at that age is about having fun.

no bcuz then the kids will try way too hard to be a good player and maybe get paid more money. it will also cause them to think that sports are just about money and not truely love the game

SANTA CLARA, CA...the city OF CHAMPIONS The gamers do no longer elect money. all of them love the sport. gamers do elect to work out their mothers and fathers staring at them play baseball. Giving them a pair of passes to the sport could enable the two mothers and fathers to attend the sport without putting a difficulty on their funds. My son develop right into a Pony League and Colt League international champion. on the comparable time, a sprint League team that lost to Taiwan develop right into some years older. while the two time international champion team went to severe college, the little league gamers have been at a rival severe college and the video games between the two colleges have been astonishing. The severe colleges knew this and charged a brilliant admission cost to visual exhibit unit the baseball video games. earlier this, you ought to visual exhibit unit baseball video games for loose. i ought to fairly stay on my earnings and this develop right into a burdon on my funds. it does no longer have been a good number of an cost for the college to offer passes to the video games because of the fact the college desperate to make money off of their repute.

The networks should establish scholarship funds which reward winning teams and players. But, to pay the players, I say no way.
