Pluto is no longer considered a planet because it is too small.

Pluto has basically been demoted. It is now considered a "dwarf planet". They believe it is too small to be a substantial member of our universe. This has been generally agreed to for the last 10 or so years, but now it is official.

They created a new category called "Dwarf Planets," of which Pluto is one. So there are 8 major planets and, currently, 3 dwarf planets, although they say there are almost certainly a bunch more dwarf planets.

They said it does not really meet the definition of a "planet" because of its weird elypitcal orbit and because it relies on Neptune for something (but I missed what).

They called it an "Icy Dwarf".

It remains in the solar system, but will be called a Dwarf Planet.

Pluto is still in the Solar System, it simply will no longer be classified as a planet.

They re-classified it a a "Dwarf Planet". Still part ofthe solar system, but I guess it has less status now (maybe no more Valet parking for Pluto)

They said it was small and far away, really far away.
